J.F.BENEDETTO
Mystery Writer and author of the Fifth Precinct series
Joseph Benedetto is the author of more than 25 short stories and articles that have been published in magazines such as Dragon, Tournaments Illuminated, Different Worlds and elsewhere, and stories from his popular crime series "The Fifth Precinct" have appeared in several magazines and anthologies, including most recently Woman's World and the upcoming Winter issue of Calliope. He also writes speculative fiction as well, his latest being a science fiction murder mystery that appeared in Renard's Menagerie. In 2009, he was nominated for the Derringer Award for excellence in the field of mystery and crime fiction.
An active member of the Mystery Writers of America, he has served in the Mentor Program of the New York Chapter of the MWA, lectures on the craft and the business of writing short fiction, and is the prolocutor of the Write-or-Die writers group of Western Pennsylvania, as well as being the Senior Assistant Fiction Editor of the Triangulation speculative fiction anthology.
